Jaguar Land Rover North America
As manager of RLB Squared in Bluffton, South Carolina, Geoffrey “Geoff” J. Block directs daily staff activity and spearheads company real estate transactions. Geoff Block recently oversaw RLB Squared’s acquisition of Sharp Plaza and the headquarters of Jaguar Land Rover North America in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Opened in March of 2018, the Jaguar Land Rover North America headquarters represented a $30 million company investment. In addition to significantly boosting Jaguar Land Rover North America’s overall square footage, these headquarters feature a vehicle showroom and a center for product research, development, and training.
Jaguar Land Rover North America occupies a place in Sharp Plaza, a 147,077-square-foot office park located just off the ramp to I-287 and Route 17 in Mahwah, New Jersey. The irregularly shaped parcel of land also offers easy access to various local surface traffic arteries. With 647 total parking spaces, it has a respectable parking ratio of 4.4 spaces per 1,000 rentable square feet.

Financial professional Geoff Block started RLB Squared, LLC in 2013 and overseas the firm’s property holdings alongside his family investments. During Geoff Block’s tenure, RLB partnered with real estate investment firm The Becker Organization to acquire Sharp Plaza, a key piece of commercial real estate in Mahwah, New Jersey. Today, the building is the site of the new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) headquarters.
Earlier this year, the JLR group celebrated the opening of its new 144,000-square-foot North American main headquarters and training and development center. The $30 million construction project added substantial square footage as well as a product research facility. The new complex has nearly 500 workstations and 78 collaborative workspaces to accommodate 400 of JLR’s New Jersey-based employees.
The building also has a large showroom, displaying many of the car company’s latest models. The new headquarters is a reflection of JLR’s success in the North American market. Since being acquired and restructured by global holding company Tata, Land Rover sales have risen by 171 percent and Jaguar’s are up over 300 percent.

Geoff Block leverages experience he gained at Crown Growth Partners on Wall Street to manage day-to-day operations of RLB Squared, LLC, an investment company with a large portfolio including hedge funds and real estate ventures. Geoff Block partnered with The Becker Organization to develop the former Sharp Plaza, which has been leased by Jaguar Land Rover for its North American headquarters.
Located on 13.9 acres in Mahwah, New Jersey, the plaza includes a 147,077-square-foot office building where Jaguar Land Rover began renovation and expansion efforts in 2016.
Completed in March of this year, the existing building underwent a complete interior renovation that focused on improving technology and incorporating collaborative workspaces. The existing structure was expanded to provide a 30,000-square-foot space that houses product research, training activities, and other technical activities. The façade of the structure received a facelift as well. Jaguar Land Rover’s new North American headquarters is able to accommodate 315 employees.

Formerly associated with Crown Growth Partners, Geoff Block now manages various investments through his RLB Squared holding company. Among the transactions Geoff Block has arranged is the new headquarters for Jaguar Land Rover, North America, in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Moving from a smaller site in Mahwah, Jaguar Land Rover will expand into an enlarged and renovated facility on Route 17 North. The old building accommodated some 250 employees; the enhanced complex, however, will provide space for about 315 staff in some 147,000 square feet. The headquarters will support the 377 Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships in the United States.
The facility’s upgraded technology will enable employees to better communicate and work with other locations around the world. New exterior finishes and signage will improve its aesthetic value.
The project won the approval of the Mahwah Township Planning Board in July 2016, and the new facility should open sometime in 2018. The township has attracted major companies such as UPS and Seiko, due partly to good rail and air connections to New York City, only 30 minutes distant.
