The New York Giants reinforced their defensive line by signing free agent defensive end Josh Mauro on March 19. Rebuilding their defensive front seven, the New York Giants’ newest lineman is reunited with defensive coordinator James Bettcher from when both were with the Arizona Cardinals.

Standing at 6’6” and weighing 282 pounds, the fifth-year defensive end contributed 22 tackles, including 15 unassisted tackles and one sack, last season in Arizona. The undrafted Stanford alumnus started 26 times with the Cardinals, recording 92 tackles (including 65 unassisted tackles and two sacks), one fumble recovery, and two forced fumbles over a span of 47 games.

Moreover, Josh Mauro started two out of three post-season games with Arizona, contributing two tackles, including one unassisted tackle. During his collegiate career, the newly acquired defensive lineman made 81 tackles, one interception, and 11 sacks in 48 games.
